Application and entire agreement

  1. The shop alusid.co.uk/home is owned and operated by from ALUSID LIMITED a company registered in England and Wales under number 08121977 whose registered office is at Richard House, Winkley Square , Preston, Lancashire, PR13HP (we or us).

  2. The following terms and conditions shall be applicable for sale and shipment of all goods which the customer orders online, by telephone, fax, post or e-mail in our online shop alusid.co.uk/home By accessing our website, you agree to our terms and conditions set out below.

  3. Our terms and conditions shall apply exclusively. The customer’s own terms and conditions shall not apply, even if we have not expressly objected them.

  4. We reserve the right, from time to time, with or without notifying you, to change these terms and conditions at our sole discretion.

Interpretation

  1. A "business day" means any day other than a Saturday, Sunday or bank holiday in England and Wales.

  2. The headings in these Terms and Conditions are for convenience only and will not affect their interpretation.

  3. Words imparting the singular number include the plural and vice-versa.

Goods

  1. The Goods may have limited quantities and are subject to return or exchange only according to our Return Policy.

  2. We can make any changes to the specification of the Goods which are required to conform to any applicable safety or other statutory or regulatory requirements.

  3. Alusid’s products are both made from recycled materials and hand-made and as such are subject to some variation, this can be in tone and strength of colour and is not considered a fault, but a feature of the product.

Price

  1. If the cost of the Goods to us increases due to any factor beyond our control including, but not limited to, material costs, labour costs, alteration of exchange rates or duties, or changes to delivery rates, we can increase the Price prior to delivery, you will be made aware of any changes in writing at the earliest opportunity.

  2. Any increase in the Price under the clause above will only take place after we have told you about it.

  3. You may be entitled to discounts. Any and all discounts will be at our discretion.

  4. The Price is inclusive of fees for packaging and transportation / delivery.

  5. The Price is inclusive of any applicable VAT and other taxes or levies which are imposed or charged by any competent authority.

Refund Policy

  1. We fully comply with the Consumer Contracts Regulations, which give consumers buying on-line the right to examine and test items at home as they would in a s

  2. If you're not happy with anything you've bought, let us know in writing (email is fine) within 30 days of receiving the item, and after having received a returns number send the item back to us for a full refund including the standard cost of delivery. This doesn't apply to bespoke or made-to-order items - see below. We'll give you a complete refund including any standard cost of delivering the items to you.

  3. As with returning items to a shop, it is your responsibility to arrange and pay for the return of goods that have been correctly supplied and are not faulty. We recommend that they are sent via an insured and signed-for service.

  4. "Made to order" or "bespoke" items will usually be described as such on the website. In addition, anything where you specify, for example a colour or size that is not described on the website is considered "made to order". Unfortunately, "made to order" or "bespoke" items cannot be cancelled or returned unless they are faulty or damaged.

Payment

  1. You agree not to hold us responsible for any banking charges incurred due to payments on your account.

  2. All prices that are displayed are inclusive of VAT.

  3. Payments can be made by Paypal (Visa, Visa Electron, Visa Debit, Visa Delta, Mastercard). Payment will be debited and cleared from your account immediately on order.

  4. In the event that we are unable to supply the goods, we will inform you of this as soon as possible. A full refund will be given where you have already paid for the goods.

  5. All payments must be made in British Pounds unless otherwise agreed in writing between us.

  6. We take reasonable care to make our site secure. All credit/debit transactions on this site are secure online payment gateways that encrypts your card details in secure host environments. If you are a registered user, we will not store your credit/debit card details on our systems.

  7. Both parties must pay all amounts due under these Terms and Conditions in full without any deduction or withholding except as required by law and neither party is entitled to assert any credit, set-off or counterclaim against the other in order to justify withholding payment of any such amount in whole or in part.

Packaging and Delivery

  1. Packaging:

We use a local recycling company that recycles cardboard boxes from major retailers. Where possible we reuse packing and padding material, but this is not always possible, our standard padding material is craft paper, this is a 99% recycled material. However, all packing materials are widely recyclable by local authorities.

29.1  We use UPS to make all deliveries. Track your delivery

29.2   We aim to dispatch your goods from our site within 2 working days of you placing your order (excluding weekends and UK public holidays). We will send you an email confirming when we have dispatched your order. Delivery will normally take 3-5 working days from the moment you place your order.

  • Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email containing the tracking number for your parcel.

  • Delivery charges will be automatically calculated at the checkout page.

  • All product prices quoted are inclusive of VAT. VAT receipts for UK deliveries can be requested by emailing info@alusid.co.uk

  • Please note that we can't accept orders billed to or addressed to PO Boxes.

  • Risk of loss and damage of products passes to you on the date when the products are delivered to you or are left with a person or place nominated by you. Our delivery driver may take a photograph of your address if you are not home to receive a delivery.

  • We are unable to change your delivery address once your order is confirmed and ready to ship. However, if your item has not shipped, we may be able to change the delivery address for you. Please contact info@alusid.co.uk within 24hrs of placing your order and we will endeavour to update the address.

  • International Deliveries

    • All prices are in £ - GBP for conversion into your own currency we would recommend using an online currency converter.

    • If you order items which have different delivery charges, the highest charge will apply. If, for any reason, we send your order in separate parcels you’ll only pay one delivery charge.

    • We ship our products to customers in the UK and within the EU countries, as well as in Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein and Monaco. Please ask for a quote for shipping to the following European destinations: Canary Islands, DOM-TOM, Channel Islands (including Jersey and Guernsey), Gibraltar, Greenland, Faroe Islands, Helgoland, Andorra, Ceuta, Melilla and Madeira.

    • All customers are responsible for paying any applicable international import duties, taxes or brokerage fees. We are unable to mark purchases as 'Gift' Please contact us if you have any questions or require paperwork for import or to claim taxes in your territory.

    • International shipments may take longer than 3-5 days.

Risk and title

  • The risk in the Goods will pass to you on completion of delivery.

  • Until title to the Goods has passed to you, you must (a) hold the Goods on a fiduciary basis as our bailee; and/or (b) store the goods separately and not remove, deface or obscure any identifying mark or packaging on or relating to the Goods; and/or (c) keep the Goods in satisfactory condition and keep them insured against all risks for their full price from the date of delivery.

  • As long as the Goods have not been resold, or irreversibly incorporated into another product, and without limiting any other right or remedy we may have, we can at any time ask you to deliver up the Goods and, if you fail to do so promptly, enter any of your premises or of any third party where the Goods are stored in order to recover them.

Circumstances beyond the control of either party

  • Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performing their obligations where such failure or delay results from any cause that is beyond the reasonable control of that party. Such causes include, but are not limited to: power failure, internet service provider failure, industrial action, civil unrest, fire, flood, storms, earthquakes, acts of terrorism, acts of war, governmental action or any other event that is beyond the control of the party in question.
